(Venice Simplon Orient Express). Apparently the loco is to be restored to working order at Eastleigh...
Saltley depot was closed in March this year.

All madness. To think what Saltley used to be, and now its gone. And preserving a 47, well well.... Definately the end of an era there.
Damn shame, but atleast it's going to be saved. As for saltley, well it's in the Dooms Day Book .
